Mount Oldoinyo Lengai in Arusha, Tanzania, is a captivating natural wonder. Known as the “Mountain of God” by the Maasai, it is the only volcano that erupts carbonatite lava. FULL ITINERARY

Day 1: December 07th ,2024

Depart Arusha to Lake Natron Game Controlled Area via Engaresero, Enjoy the flamingo birds at the lake until sunset. Plan for an early night as you will be awoken at 11:30pm to prepare for the summit.

Day 2: Midnight, December 08th, 2024

Drive to the starting point of the mountain, for about 20mins. Begin the ascent up to Oldoinyo Lengai rim for a beautiful sunrise and breathtaking view. Enjoy breakfast facing active volcanic ash crater. Going down is even tougher, use your trekking poles and be careful of loose pebbles.

Day 3: December 09th, 2024

After breakfast, visit the Engaresero waterfalls, a needed treat after a challenging climb. A moment to unwind and let yourself enjoy natural Engaresero. Depart to Arusha later in the afternoon after lunch.
